Pakula's Bakery Shop, a bakery known for its Eastern European-style baked goods that was once located in the Bronx and Spring Valley, N.Y., has returned to New York-area specialty stores and select supermarkets under the Pakula's Bakery name. Famous for his rugelach, Andy Pakula, a ninth-generation baker, brings the family's much-loved recipes back to the New York area. The Classic Rugelach features Chocolate, Raspberry, and Apricot, while Nouvelle Rugelach features Mint Chocolate, Cappuccino, and Apple-Cinnamon. Sapori Foods of Jamaica, N.Y., and InterCounty Bakers of Lindenhurst, N.Y., will distribute the baked goods.
